• my dress is amazing. it is a vintage dress that is being deconstructed and reconstructed to fit my fat ass! i love it.
• i am currently working on a 80’s/90’s dance and hip hop mix for the dancing.
• we are printing up invitations this week and sending them out over the weekend.
• i have a hair/make up consultation with this awesome artist who works a lot with vintage styling.
• we have been slowly planning out the honeymoon; helsinki, stockholm, copenhagen, and amsterdam. we bought the tickets for transportation to/from and the transportation and hotels in the places. now we are just planning little things in them!
• since finding out about the wedding, a lot of people try to get into really deep conversations with me about the institution of marriage and having kids. i think that is the funny thing about perceptions about heteronormativity, queerness, and passing.  but, anyway, i’m not really digging into these conversations. i have no desire to engage in these conversations with most folks; most people aren’t open to politics that aren’t their own and  i have no time for that shit. i’ve stepped into my adult life with a type of radicalness that has an open door politics; i try to be open to all possibilities. it has worked so far, and if you don’t get that, then don’t talk to me about my personal life decisions. you weren’t there when i went through some other life changing events and you won’t be around for this one either! :)

i constantly fear that i have left a used and wrapped tampon somewhere else other than the trash; like behind the toilet or on the sink. i always have to double check - and if  i don’t double check i am super paranoid that i didn’t throw it out.
